At least one good sugar baby book is an essential. Especially if you’re a brand new sugar baby. Why, you ask?
Well, Jojen, from the Game of Thrones put it best:
“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.”
This really could not be more true. Every time you crack open a book, you’re entering into another world, another mind, another way of looking at things.
Which is especially helpful when you’re about to embark down a life path you have little personal experience with. Sure, sugar baby blogs help. And of course, real sugar baby stories are a wealth of wisdom. But books condense a lifetime of experience into easily digestible bits of information you can use in your life right away.
And by simply reading the right sugar baby book, you’re able to get a huge leg up on seduction, dating and all the nitty gritty details of the sugar baby life.
Nothing – seriously, nothing – short of living the sugar life for a few years is going to give you the know how that the below reading list will. So without further ado – here are the best sugar baby must reads to add to your Kindle today.
The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene
Want to learn the art of seducing a sugar daddy? Or the guy who sits next to you in class? Or even your workout buddy with the cute butt or whomever else you set your sights on?
If there was a required reading list for aspiring seductresses, this would be at the top.
This is straight up seduction tips from the best of the best. And it’s broken down into easy to read sections of seduction styles and seduction tactics. It is one of the best books we’ve ever read on seduction. And it’s one we refer to time and time again. Seriously, on like a semi-monthly basis.
This book will help you not only in the sugar world, but in your entire love life. And surprisingly – other parts of your life as well. So this tops the list of our sugar baby reading list.
A Gold Digger’s Guide: How to Get What You Want Without Giving it Up
Awesome, awesome book. It’s not specific to sugar babies. But it’ll fill you in on all the details of gold digging for fun and profit. Baje (the author) has been through the game and come out on top. And she lets you in on everything (really, everything) you need to know.
Here are some gems we loved:
“There are too many women “screwing” their way to nowhere. If a guy is that much of a low life that he requires you to sleep with him before he works with you, then who is to say that he will keep up his part of the bargain after?”
“How much he has is not as important as how much he is willing to give”
“Always ask for more than you need, because chances are he’s going to try to negotiate with you. If you need $1 to buy something, tell him it cost $2 because he’ll more than likely say that he can only afford $1…perfect. It is a win-win situation (for you anyway).”
We especially love the section where she lays out the different types of men and how to cater your approach to get money and gifts from each type.
You should know, though, that Baje has a very cut-and-dry, quick hustle sort of style. That may or may not suit your personality. That being said, it’s still a useful book for both aspiring and experienced sugar babies to read.
Ho Tactics: How to MindF**k A Man into Spending, Spoiling, and Sponsoring
Now before you get huffy about being called a “ho.” Just know that the author uses the term with the utmost respect.
And these tactics – as well as the mindset behind them – are exactly what you need when entering the sugar world.
Unlike most sugar baby books, the author is a man. He gives you the nitty gritty of exactly what it takes to hook a man by using your unique feminine charms. As well as tips on how to maximize these charms, no matter what you look like – and profit from it.
You’ll find superb examples sprinkled throughout the book. So even if you’re at a complete loss as to how to succeed in the sugar world – this book will show you the way.
Sex with Kings
This is a unique, well-researched and entertaining sugar baby book that highlights the lives of sugar babies who lived way before the term “sugar baby” even existed. Sex with Kings provides an in-depth look at the sugar babies of long ago, otherwise known as the king’s mistresses.
These ladies varied in culture, age, religion, socioeconomic status – pretty much everything you could think of. But all of them managed to use their looks and wits to gain the affection of the most powerful men in their world.
The best part is that these life experiences these royal mistresses went through is still very much applicable to sugar babies today.
So applicable, in fact, that we’ve written a whole article on the lessons to be learned from history’s most famous sugar babies.
Style: The Modern Lady’s Guide to Elegance and Charm
Not many of us went to charm school – or ever took a course on etiquette. Yet, the sugar world often puts us in contact with some of the wealthiest, most cultured men in the world.
So you’re going to have to know how to behave with class and elegance in a variety of situations.
Luckily – you don’t have to go to charm school to do so. We devoured pretty much every etiquette book on the market throughout the course of sugar dating ’cause, well, frankly, we wanted to stand out from all the run-of-the-mill sugar babies and impress every potential sugar daddy we went on a date with.
And of all the etiquette books out there – there are really just 2 that are a MUST READ for every sugar baby (or any woman who wants to know her way around any situation):
Get ’em both, read ’em both (several times over, probably – we’re often referring to them) and practice them.
Charm, manners and basic etiquette are the most underrated attractive qualities a woman can possess. But any true sugar daddy will take notice of these things and it’ll differentiate you from the masses.
The Sugar Daddy Formula: A Sugar Baby’s Ultimate Guide to Finding a Wealthy Sugar Daddy
Leidra Lawson’s Sugar Daddy 101 is probably the original sugar baby book. But while it’s still good – it’s a bit outdated. But that’s okay, ’cause Taylor Jones’ Sugar Daddy Formula does a great job at covering the basics of getting started in sugar dating for our generation.
Keep in mind, ‘though, that this book is mostly helpful for brand new sugars who’re looking for a basic framework on how to get started in the sugar world. If you’re a more experienced sugar babe looking for actionable advice on the more sophisticated aspects of sugar dating – investments, taxes, etc. – you won’t find that here.
That being said, the book provides a very comprehensive overview that’s enough to get any new sugar baby comfortable in the world of sugar. A must read for every newbie.
Runner Up: The Power of the Pussy
This isn’t a book specifically for sugar babies or dating rich men – it’s mostly a book about knowing your worth.
It’s getting included on the must read books for sugar babies simply because we’ve gotten one too many emails from aspiring sugar babies who don’t know how much power they have. If you’re a newbie sugar babe still asking yourself…”why would a man pay good money to date me?” – read this book!
